Bluegrass 88 Piano competition is celebrating its first annual season! With the preliminary round, we want to give many aspiring pianists chances to enter our competition. For more information, scroll below!

Competition Registration--Preliminary Round

Bluegrass 88 Piano Competition's preliminary round is open to any aspiring pianists. The competition registration deadline is July 31st, 2024 at 11:59 PM. The process of registering for the competition is the following:

Ascertain your age division:
- High school Solo: age 14 to 17
- College Solo: age 18 to 22
- Semi-Professional Solo: age 23 and above
- High school 4-hands: age 14 to 17
- College 4-hands: age 18 to 22
- Semi-Profession 4-hands: age 23 and above
The repertoire is not restricted to any style/period. Choose your repertoire piece that is no longer than 10 minutes.

Please submit the $40 non-refundable registration fee via one of the following methods of payment:

- **If you are participating in the solo division AND 4-hands division, please submit $70 altogether.
The preliminary round's date and location is TBA.

Final Round

Three pianists from each age division will perform their repertoire in a recital format. Final round will be open to public and the performances will be recorded and/or live-streamed.

Upon the end of the final round, the winners will be announced. The winner of each division will win a cash prize along with private recording copies of their performances.

Masterclass

One of the judges will have a masterclass during the competition season. Masterclass will be open to anyone from public as well as competing pianists. More information will be announced.
